Foundation Percentage

 In order for a horse to be considered for FQHR registration, 75% of its pedigree must trace back to the original 27,000 horses registered with the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA). No Thoroughbred may be closer than the fourth generation of the horse that is being registered. Also, Impressive cannot be anywhere on the AQHA papers and there is a rule about the amount of white on the horse. Check the FQHR rulebook for more information. 

 Registration Acceptance 

We are an affiliate member of the Foundation Quarter Horse Registry (http://www.fqhr.net). All horses must be registered with the Foundation Quarter Horse Registry to be eligible to show.
